Alaska Fly Fishing Adventures is a beginner fly fisher friendly guide service. Your guide, Mark Conway, is a Master Fly Fishing instructor, teaching fly fishing to beginners for over 20 years. Conway, a certified student of Orvis Fly Fishing School and mentored under fly fishing famous, Doug Swisher in 1984 Orvis Fly Fishing School in Kennewick, Washington, Conway has been teaching fly fishing and fly tying ever since. Conway owned "The Rustic Fly Fisher" fly shop in Kennewick from 1988 to 1990 and has been fly fishing Alaska since 1984. Conway's experience as a fly fishing instructor and fly fishing guide grew well ahead of the Fly Fishing explosion which was generated in the years to follow since 1988. In 1995, after moving to Alaska, Mark started Alaska Fly Fishing Adventures Guide Service. He has taught fly fishing throughout the Kenai Peninsula and has his own fly fishing schools each year at his Pinewood Inn Lodge in Sterling Alaska.
Mark's unique ability to teach you fly fishing as you fish, gives you the knowledge of not only great fly fishing techniques and strategies in how to catch fish, but the experience of catching fish fly fishing and releasing fish in a safe and unharmed manner as you apply all those valuable fly fishing techniques to your overall fishing experience in Alaska.
