Plan to stay at our Alaska Fly Fishing Adventures' Lodge, rental Cabin or RV sites, located near Sterling Alaska just 15 minutes north of Soldotna. Sterling is centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula in South Central Alaska and easily found driving south of Anchorage on the Seward Highway. We are off the beaten path, very easy to find, located in a secluded wooded area where the only sound you will hear are the birds chirping and float planes flying over head. You will be less than a mile from the Kenai River for wade/ bank fishing at Morgan's Landing.
The Pinewood Inn, our fully furnished fly fishing Lodge, has three private bedrooms, 2 with King beds and 1 with Queen sized bed. One of our King bed rooms easily converts to 2 extra long twin beds in the room with plenty of bed space for tall men or women. In addition, we have a loft with a full sized bed making the sleeping space of the lodge available for up to 9 total people. There is over 2000 sq feet of living space to spread out in and relax at the Pinewood Inn Lodge. We are taking reservations now for the 2008 fishing season.
Our two bedroom cabin is fully furnished with one queen bed room, one full bedroom and two futon full sized beds in the living room. A full bathroom with shower and tub, a laundry room, kitchen with all amenities, dining area, living room with big flat screen TV, DVD and local channels. Covered deck with gas BBQ and freezer for your fish. Private parking, quiet and secluded.
We have two secluded RV sites with power and water hookups only, for dry camping. Sewer drop sites are conveniently located near by in Sterling or Soldotna.
Our Pinewood Inn Lodge, cabin and RV sites are conveniently located north of Soldotna, just off the Sterling Highway where you can easily drive to our lodge from Anchorage or Kenai. Our lodge or cabin may be perfect for your large group or family use while on vacation here in South Central Alaska. We are just over 2 hours south of Anchorage on the only southern highway, the Seward highway, then a right turn on the Sterling highway until you get here. The Pinewood Inn property is secluded and a bird watchers paradise as well as wild life such as moose browsing through the grounds each day. Besides private bedrooms with ample space to relax in, cushy comfortable new mattresses, clean linen you can count on, our lodge has over 2,000 square feet of living space on the main floor. In the Lodge is a full sized bathroom with Alaska sized (over sized) bathtub and shower. In addition, you have laundry facilities, a huge living area with large flat screen TV to enjoy a library of old and new DVD movies or just browse the local channels. We have a spacious kitchen and dinning room with all amenities for your own cooking use and dinning as well. You have a computer area with phone, fax, scanner, copier and photo processor for your own personal use. The Pinewood lodge has wireless so you can use your lap top in your own room or out on the covered deck overlooking the park like setting before you. As our guest, you can enjoy a nightly BBQ on your own covered deck or sit around a campfire ring, eat your own home cooked meals and, if you like to tie flies, we have a fly tying room with all of what you would need for tying your own flies for using right here on the Kenai Peninsula

The Pinewood Inn Cabin has all new furnishings plus a washer and dryer, full kitchen with cooking facilities, dinning area and living area with flat screen TV, DVD and movies. The cabin also has a covered porch with gas BBQ for your use and a freezer for all your fish. Wireless is also available.
At the Pinewood Inn lodge and cabin, you will be smack dab in the middle of the Kenai Peninsula. We are one mile from popular red salmon fishing on the Kenai River at Morgan's Landing, thirty minutes from the Kasilof River for King Salmon fishing in June and forty minutes from Ninilchik for Halibut fishing. You will be just 35 minutes from the Russian River and under two hours from Seward for glacier cruises, kayaking, glacier hikes and the Alaska Sea Life Center. You will be about the same distance from Homer for Halibut fishing, kayaking and beach combing. In near by Sterling, Soldotna and Kenai, you will find many choices of fine dinning at area restaurants.
Professional fish processing and shipping is available in nearby Soldotna or we have a vacuum sealer and smoker our guests can feel free to use should they want to process their own fish to eat or take home.
Bring your cameras with you as we have moose, snow shoe hares, lynx and occasional bear on our grounds. Brown bear migrate through from the mountains in May and again in September and October on their way back. During the mid summer months, you will probably not see brown bear on the property, but, occasionally black bear are seen. Moose and moose calf are usually a daily sight right out your window.
Other things to do near by include the Birchwood golf course, Soldotna shopping malls, gold panning, clam digging, mountain biking, wildlife photography, Bear viewing, hiking and glacier hikes just to name a few popular past times.
Airport pick up is available at no charge at near by Kenai, 12 scenic miles away. Should you need to rent a car, Kenai airport has most of the popular car rentals, but reserve them way ahead of time as there are a limited quantity of cars available there. Anchorage has more of a rental car selection and quantity, so if you don't mind the 3 hour beautiful drive to Sterling in the summer, you may rent your transportation there at the Anchorage Airport.
