His patience, knowledge, enthusiasm and professionalism were all top notch. It was a welcome suprise to feel like I was fishing with a buddy, and not just a guide who was there because he was paid to be. Thats not to say he didn't fufill his guide duties, but more a testament to how comfortable I was with him after just a few hours (which is saying a lot coming from me, just ask my wife). The lodge was also incredible. Everything you could look for in a home away from home. Cozy, clean, comfortable, and totally inviting.. Mark and Maryna really make you feel at home. The biggest compliment I can give is that I plan on going back as often as I can."

Though I’ve been a fly fisherman for 20 years, this was my first experience with a fresh water guide, and you certainly exceeded my expectations! I’ve had apprehensions in the past in using a guide when fishing beautiful places like Wyoming and Colorado, and didn’t because of my fear that the fishing trip would just turn into a mechanical exercise (“do this…don’t do that…etc.) You were respectful of my experience and at the same time a great teacher with regard to technique, gear rigging, etc, all needed for the local waters and fish of beautiful Alaska. You absolutely improved the quality of my first Alaska fishing experience 100%!!!!!!….and better yet, got me into some great fish!!!
